James Joseph Parsons was born on March 24th, 1973. He grew up in Houston, Texas. Since playing his now famous role as Sheldon on The Big Bang Theory, he has won 2 Emmy's (2010 & 2011) and a Golden Globe Award (2011). In 2011, he made his Broadway debut as Tommy Boatwright in "The Normal Heart". This summer Jim is returning to Broadway as the starring role of Elwood P. Dowd in "Harvey".
